While Instagram claims that it’s all set to remove likes because it can be detrimental to the user’s mental health. However, experts predict that the decision has been made to crack down on influencer marketing. Companies often pay influencers directly through influencer marketing—the profit of the resultant sales doesn’t go to Instagram. Removing likes will trigger companies to move toward paid Instagram marketing, which is much more beneficial for the social media platform itself.
